Take a Trolley through Historic Marietta
Take a ride through history with metro-Atlanta’s only trolley tour! The one hour ride is a fully narrated tour through Historic Marietta. Take a Stroll through the Gardens at Brumby Hall
Over the weekend, we took a stroll through the Gardens at Brumby Hall, just beautiful. This Greek Revival-style home was built in 1851 by Colonel Arnoldus V. Brumby. During the Civil War it was used as a hospital. Currently it is a museum and special events facility in conjuction with the Marietta Conference Center & Resort. Brumby Hall & Gardens features 5 rooms and a solarium furnished with antiques and period furniture. It sits on 2 acres of elegant English gardens, including the Topiary, Boxwood, Rose, Perennial and Knot Gardens. Brumby House provides a lovely setting for a wedding ceremony or reception, or any other special occasion.

Have you Visited the Marietta Wine Market?
Twice weekly The Marietta Wine Market hosts wine tasting events – Wed 5-7pm and Sat 2-4pm. You can relax at the bar or on a cushy couch or chair while you taste, learn about wine and meet new friends. Complimentary Hors d’oeuvres are served at the tastings and donation proceeds go to local charities.

Save the Date for a Taste of Marietta!
Emerson Overlook looks forward to attending the 2012 Taste of Marietta which takes place on Sunday, April 29 from 11am to 7pm. The 19th annual event takes place in the historic Marietta Square and features over eighty restaurants and caterers showcasing their best food. In addition, there are five live music stages and a sunset concert on the Main Stage in Glover Park. The event also features games for the kids in the Kid’s Alley, a sports corner as well as a cooking stage with celebrity cheifs’ cooking demonstrations. The Taste of Marietta takes place rain or shine, and admission is free.
Also, don’t forget to bring some canned goods to help feed the hungry in Marietta. MUST Ministries is having a food drive with a drop off booth to help stock their food pantry.
